The civil engineer has broad experience in project and lean management, having worked for Implenia and Drees & Sommer, and was most recently managing partner at consulting firm refine Schweiz AG. Since August 2023, together with Marco Sutter and Sidney Frey, Pitterle has been representing Madaster Services Switzerland.

‘I am looking forward to contributing to the public debate on CO2, ESG and the circular economy. But first and foremost, I intend to promote a general understanding of the added value of documenting and registering buildings and infrastructures in Switzerland. Only in this way can we act in a resource-conserving manner and contribute to the decarbonisation of the Swiss real estate portfolio — the Madaster Platform is an ideal tool for doing so,’ says Johannes Pitterle.

Pablo van den Bosch, Chairman of the Board of Madaster Services Switzerland, adds: ‘The CO2 impact over the entire life cycle of a building, material passports as well as standards and solutions for real estate data are the current core topics of the real estate sector and construction industry. I am delighted that Johannes Pitterle is joining our Swiss team as the new Managing Director with drive and entrepreneurial spirit. His background as an engineer, his international experience and his strong roots in the Swiss construction industry and real estate sector are ideal qualifications with which to further develop Madaster and to support the industry in becoming competitive and very skilful in terms of C02 reduction and circular economy.’

Change in the composition of the Board of Directors

Since the foundation of Madaster Services Schweiz AG, ex-SwissRe manager Rolf Krummenacher has been Chairman of the Board of Directors. With his rich experience and extensive knowledge of the Swiss market, he laid the foundation for the proper management of the organisation. Now that the new organisation has been established, he has handed over responsibility to Pablo van den Bosch, Director Madaster International, who is to further expand the international networking of Madaster Services Switzerland AG.

New to the Board of Directors is Professor Jürgen M. Volm, who in the past was Managing Director and Partner at Drees & Sommer and pom+. He is the founder and CEO of consultancy firm Vellows AG. Marloes Fischer, former CEO of Madaster and founder and CEO Circular Hub and Tobias Achermann continue their membership on the Board of Directors.
